08 Nov Exploring handmade glass with your hands
Such a special morning with Rachel and her dog Molly, and Christine from Guides For Sight, interpreting our world of colour and texture, light and sound. Rachel is fully vision impaired but has the memory of colour from many previous ‘sighted’ years.
Such a joyful experience to be part of, and such insight into how the senses compensate for each other. The only thing she couldn’t touch was the hot glass and furnaces but toffee and honey make a great comparison when doing a glassmaking demo.
All the best Rachel, it was great to meet you and thank you for collecting our art glass.
Thanks also to Christine from Guides4Sight who arranged Rachel’s visit and brought her along. And beautiful Molly … what a gorgeous guide dog.
